The writing is fast flowing, i love the use of the dimensions and shifts into other realms through the structure of the narrative, a lot of the expressions are set as the conflicts that many seem are around fitting into society! I found The Door into Evermoor is a lot faster paced, full of links to movies and the Dungeons and dragons, full of illiteration references to a variety of console realms and games as structural foundations to learning! A true reflection of tomboy and Princes fan focus from the 80’s showing a love of all things loved by those growing up in the prime of game development and consoles!
“You were right, Aitrya You were right about it all! There are other world’s than these,
And i wouldn’t have it any other way!”
The prologue says it all the wonderful name of Jon Dough a nameless kid from San Francisco and his journey through the magic realms created by the great imagination of the author! Clearly written in the ideology i can relate to, a love for all those iconic industry made draws from Star wars, and creates a world of his own an escape from the duldrums of daily life into the the unknown, creating his character through the experiences within the book!
“Something Different! what do you say?”
I say it is a little like the deal with the devil or Rumplestiltskin….be careful what you wish for this multi heritage character is full of character and constantly meeting new people through the gateways and portals as he finds his way through Evermoor! The author’s attention to detail and clear definition on the physical depictions of the characters and events draw you through, really building the different aspects of Jon and his relatable associations! From his dog Gribbles and his adventures into dragon world, it is an engaging read full of entertaining conversations and vibrant imagination!
There is so much to this book, it would ruin it to go into further detail, but again it is Another selection of wonderful Worlds and realms to dive into!
Amazon Kindle; Unlimited or purchased as an individual ebook…..
Happy Reading
